Resetting AirPods or AirPods Pro: A Guide

1- Place your AirPods back in the charging case and shut the cover to reset them. Before continuing, make sure the case is powered on and give it a 30-second break .

2- When the time is right, open the lid, but don’t take out your AirPods. Now, hold down the Setup button for 15 seconds, or until you see the status light flash amber before it turns back to white. Release the button when the light returns to its flashing white state.

3- Your Apple ID and iCloud account will remain connected to your AirPods even after you reset them. Not only will you need to remove your AirPods from an Apple device, but you will also need to sell or give them away if you wish to prevent that.

1- Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your Mac, iPhone, or other Apple device that you used your AirPods with to accomplish this.Next to them, tap the blue “i” icon.

2- You can now confirm that you want to “Forget Device” by tapping “Forget This Device.”

Method for Resetting AirPods Max

1- All you have to do to return your AirPods Max to factory settings is press and hold the Digital Crown and Noise Control buttons for 15 seconds, or until the LED indicator flashes amber and then white.

2- Please take note that even after doing this, your Apple ID will still be connected to your AirPods Max. Go to Settings > Bluetooth on the Apple device that your AirPods Max were previously linked with in order to unpair them from your account. If your AirPods Max are still listed among your stored Bluetooth devices, you can hit the blue “i” button that appears next to them.
You can now confirm that you want to “Forget Device” by tapping “Forget This Device.” Now you may pair your headphones as if they were fresh with an additional iPhone and Apple ID.
